Operator and scope.
This website is operated by Roman Sutherland, trading as Nousophy, in Nelson, New Zealand. Questions about these terms can be sent to roman@nousophy.com.
These terms apply when you use nousophy.com. Separate terms may be agreed directly before Roman supplies a paid service or a book is offered for sale.
Writing and information.
The essays, aphorisms, philosophy, examples and other material on this site are provided for general educational and reflective use. They are not personal medical, mental-health, diagnostic, legal, financial or other professional advice.
Use your own judgement and seek an appropriately qualified professional where a decision requires professional advice or could materially affect health, safety, rights or finances. Nothing on the site creates a therapist-client, clinician-patient or other professional relationship.
Assessment and reports.
The Nousophy assessment is a developing self-report framework for reflection. It is not a clinical or diagnostic instrument, an official Myers-Briggs assessment, or a substitute for individual professional evaluation. Its validation work is incomplete.
Results depend on the answers given, the scoring version and the limits of the model. Interpretations are hypotheses to examine against context and experience, not determinations of identity, ability, suitability or mental health. Do not use them as the sole basis for employment, education, treatment, relationship, legal or other high-stakes decisions.
You may use the assessment without sharing it. If you choose to share a report, the separate consent wording explains what is sent. The Privacy page describes how that information is handled.
Deep Profile enquiries.
Sending a Deep Profile request only asks Roman to contact you. It does not book a session, take payment, commit either person to proceed, or automatically share your assessment.
The displayed founding price is in New Zealand dollars. Availability, scope, format, timing, payment arrangements and any cancellation or rescheduling terms must be agreed directly before payment. Deep Profile is an educational, reflective conversation; it is not therapy, diagnosis or clinical treatment.
Book interest.
The book is still being written and produced. Dates, contents, specifications, prices and delivery details described on the site are plans or targets unless expressly marked as confirmed, and may change.
The interest form prepares an email in your email application. Sending it is an expression of interest only: it is not a preorder, purchase, reservation or promise of supply, and no payment is taken. Any future sale will be subject to the information and terms shown when paid orders open.
Acceptable use.
Please do not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, submit unlawful or harmful material, use automated requests that place an unreasonable load on it, or try to access another person's locally stored or privately shared assessment.
Intellectual property.
Unless a credit identifies another owner, original writing, assessment text, reports, design and other material created for Nousophy belong to Roman Sutherland. You may read, download or print original Nousophy material for personal, non-commercial use. Any other copying, republication, adaptation or commercial use requires permission unless New Zealand law allows it.
Third-party works remain the property of their respective owners and may have their own terms. They are identified where practical.
Third parties and availability.
The site may link to or embed services operated by others, including FragCoord. Their content, availability and information practices are controlled by them. A link or credit does not make Nousophy responsible for that service.
Roman may correct, change, suspend or withdraw site material and experimental features. Access may be interrupted and errors may occur. Please keep your own copy of anything you need, including local assessment data.
Consumer rights and New Zealand law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. This includes rights that eligible New Zealand consumers may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
Subject to those mandatory rights, you remain responsible for how you use general educational material and assessment interpretations. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, without removing any mandatory protection that applies to you elsewhere.
These terms may change as the website, assessment, services or sales process changes. The date at the top shows the version currently published.
