Who is responsible.
Roman Sutherland, trading as Nousophy, in Nelson, New Zealand, is responsible for the personal information handled through this site. Roman is Nousophy's privacy officer and the contact for privacy questions and requests.

Information kept on your device.
Most assessment activity is local to your browser. Depending on what you use, the site can store your theme choice, an optional browser profile containing your name and email, questionnaire drafts, answers, generated results, report history, unlock state and a receipt identifying an assessment you shared.
This browser information is not a cross-device account and is not sent to Nousophy merely because it is saved. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to see it. You can remove it using the controls provided or by clearing this site's stored data in your browser.
The standalone questionnaire presents a choice to save progress in the browser. If you leave that choice off, progress remains only in the current tab and is lost when the tab closes.
Messages and enquiries.
The contact form collects your name, email address and message so Roman can read and reply to it. A Deep Profile enquiry also includes your session preference and any optional context you provide. These forms send an email to Roman through Cloudflare's email service; they do not add the enquiry to the assessment database or keep a separate copy in this browser.
The book-interest form opens an email draft in your own email application. Nothing is sent to Nousophy until you choose to send that email, and the website does not retain a separate browser copy.
Providing enquiry information is voluntary. Without a working email address Roman cannot reply, and without enough detail he may not be able to deal with the enquiry.
Please include only information that is useful for the enquiry. The Deep Profile form is an enquiry, not a booking or payment.
Assessments you choose to share.
Your assessment stays on your device unless you use the separate sharing form and give explicit consent. If you do, Nousophy receives and stores:
- your name and email address;
- your individual answers, six-aspect scores and the profile generated from them;
- supporting result data, including source signals, type translation and response-pattern information where present; and
- a submission reference, timestamps, consent record, assessment version and review status.
The submission is stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database so Roman can review the report you asked him to review, respond to you and, where relevant, prepare for a Deep Profile conversation. Cloudflare may also send Roman an email notice containing your name, email address, leading profile aspects and private reference.
Sharing is voluntary. If you do not share an assessment, Roman cannot review a server copy, but your local result remains available to you.
Your assessment is not made public or sold. The private reference saved in your browser does not by itself contain the assessment.
Technical services.
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, database and email infrastructure. In providing those services, it may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser or device details, timestamps and security events, and information submitted through the services. Its infrastructure may process information outside New Zealand.
The home page includes a visual hosted by FragCoord. When that visual loads, your browser connects directly to FragCoord's published embed. The embed receives no Nousophy form or assessment data, and Nousophy sends it no referrer, but FragCoord and its supporting infrastructure may receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address and browser details and may use their own delivery, security or analytics technology.
Nousophy does not install advertising pixels or behavioural analytics and does not use non-essential cookies for its own purposes. Cloudflare or the embedded provider may use strictly necessary security or delivery technology under their own terms.
How information is used and disclosed.
Nousophy uses personal information for the purpose explained where it is collected: to operate and secure the site, reply to messages, handle an expression of interest, review an assessment you chose to share, or arrange and provide a service.
Information is disclosed to service providers only as needed to run those functions, or where you authorise it or the law requires it. Nousophy does not sell personal information or use assessment responses for advertising.
Retention and security.
Browser information remains until you remove it, clear site data or the browser removes it. Email enquiries remain in Roman's email records while they are needed to answer the enquiry and maintain any relevant business record. Shared assessments are retained only while they are needed for the consented review, follow-up or an applicable recordkeeping obligation. They do not currently expire automatically, so records that are no longer needed—and any accepted deletion request—are handled manually.
Nousophy uses access controls and Cloudflare's service safeguards to protect information. No online system or email service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not submit information the service does not need.
Your choices and rights.
You can use the public writing and free assessment without sending Nousophy your name or email. Sharing an assessment is optional. You can also contact Roman directly instead of using a site form.
Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020, you can ask for access to personal information Nousophy holds about you and ask for it to be corrected. You can also ask for deletion; whether all information can be deleted may depend on why it is still needed and any legal obligation to retain it. Email roman@nousophy.com with enough detail to identify the information. Roman may need to verify your identity first.
If a privacy concern is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
